Bringing the Fun back to Family (Video) - Part 1
These past few years have brought many extra challenges to everyone around the globe, and the juggle of family life has taken many turns we could not have anticipated.
Through the blur of our new normal, when we finally stop and look around, sometimes it's hard to spot the 'fun' in family life. Does it exist simply in designated times, does it trickle in throughout the day and we've missed it, or has stress overshadowed it all.
This is part one in a new series of talks looking at how we can all bring fun back into the family. Throughout this first hour we'll look at stress and how it might present in adults as well as children, we'll explore strategies such as tone of voice / yelling and the influence this has on the brains ability to cope, we'll start packing our own tool kits with ideas that we can try including exploring our own past experiences and how we were parented, and we'll finish with a few reminders of some 'oldie but goodie' ideas for fun.
These videos are a quick easy way to keep checking in on our own thoughts and feelings, bring old ideas back to the front of our thinking, and perhaps toss up and idea we haven't thought to try. Enjoy!
