What can Occupational Therapists help with? Occupational Therapist support children, their families and educators to help a child attain success in the occupations of childhood. This typically refers to play, learning and socialising. More specifically, Occupational Therapists may:
- Self care (dressing, feeding, managing the toilet) - Play and manipulation of toys - Functional school tasks such as cutting and writing
which impact upon their life skills and energy levels.

Assessments
A formal assessment can provide a picture of the child's current skills and abilities and provide a baseline from which to ascertain change and development. They can be helpful to provide information when communicating with other professionals including doctors and educators.
