Our Building Blocks group is a form of
play-based therapy which uses the natural benefits of play with Lego® to assist with the development of social and communication skills. It is a brilliant tool for helping to teach children problem solving skills, turn taking, working with others and so much more. We offer 2 groups to target different skills and ages. Our groups are limited in size to enable maximum benefit for those participating (maximum of 5). Weeks 7 to 10 of term 1 will be our Harness Handwriting Group
Week 6 is a Bridging session between the two halves of the term. In this week we'll be extending the communication group skills in different ways, and we'll be setting up the foundation strength skills for the handwriting kids. We will use different, fun tools and games to achieve these goals. For this term the session (4th March) will be using drumming related activities which will challenge the kids' skills in listening and communicating with each other in different ways. |
